Children’s Ministry Team

This team is responsible for children’s educational activities both on Saturday Night and Sunday morning. They are responsible for sub teams which help make the children’s learning time happen. Their meeting times vary.

Choir

Do you enjoy singing? Please share your voice with our choir. The choir sings at the traditional service each Sunday morning at 10:30. Choir practices each Wednesday evening at 7:30 in the community room.

Kid’s Choir

This team provides a great way for children to discover their musical gifts. The choir meets weekly and sings at Sunday services monthly.

Community Dinner Team

This is an outreach ministry that offers a free dinner to the community the first Thursday of each month. There are many opportunities to help with this ministry. They need donations of food. They also need cooks and servers. These dinners are a blessing to many in our community as they are able to share a meal together both to fill their stomachs with food and their hearts with fellowship.

Diamond View Bingo

This outreach ministry spends time with the residents of Diamond View Group Home in Mansfield. They visit the first Monday of each month to play bingo. You can go once or every month if you desire. This is a very small sacrifice of time but the reward to the residents is priceless.

Dish Team

This team is responsible for doing dishes after funeral dinners. They have no formal meetings, but are always ready to answer the call when needed.

Elderberries

This small group of ladies meets monthly to fellowship. They have different learning opportunities and perform various ministry outreach projects.

Gift of the Month Team

This team is responsible for encouraging the Ministry Body to give a different gift each month which is given as community outreach. This team meeting schedule varies.

Healing Food Team

This team is responsible for taking meals to people who have been recently ill or hospitalized. The team does not have scheduled meetings. There is a sign up list for when the need arises.

Home Share Groups

This team helps create and enable people to become involved in Home Share Groups. The understanding of how bible study works and the gift of organization are needed to become part of this team. If you are interested in joining a Home Share Group or being a part of this team, please contact us.

Library Team

This team’s purpose is to organize, expand and maintain the library resources of our ministry body. The gift of organization and administration are needed for this team as well as a passion for reading. Meeting times and dates vary.

Men’s Breakfast

This group of men meet every other Saturday morning at the V & M restaurant at 6:30 a.m. to enjoy food and fellowship.

Member Attendance Team

This team monitors attendance and contacts members who have stopped participating in worship. The gift of evangelism, good people and communications skills are needed to make this team happen

Prayer Chain

These teams are responsible for praying for all prayer requests given to them. They do not meet as a group, but pray individually as they feel called. You may be a part of either the phone and/or email prayer chain.

Reunion Groups

These are groups of 4-5 people who meet regularly to encourage each other in their faith walk. The groups are either all men or all women. Each groups sets day, time, and frequency of meetings. Most people in a reunion group have attended a Via de Cristo weekend.

 

Reuse Reduce Recycle Team

This team is responsible for the recycling of the church used materials. They also help raise awareness of the need for good stewardship of the Earth. The team meets quarterly. Team Leader:

Senior Visitation Ministry

This group visits seniors in the congregation who are unable to participate in worship or just need companionship. They take home communion to the seniors. This team uses their listening skills and the gift of mercy when they visit homebound and nursing home seniors.

Ultreya Planning Team

This team plans, schedule, and helps facilitate Ultreyas. They invite the entire ministry body to participate in these events. The gifts of organization and planning as well as a time commitment are needed gifts for this team.

 

Worship Planning Team

God desires our worship. This team helps make our worship happen. They meet the third Tuesday of the month The needed gifts for this team are a heart able to hear God’s word and an understanding of how worship flows.

Youth Groups

Our Junior and Senior High youth groups do a wide range of community building and community serving activities throughout the year. They meet monthly during the school year.
